What is air conditioning?
Air conditioning allows you to precisely control air temperature, air cleanliness, air flow and humidity. Air conditioning systems regulate each of these elements up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. From a business perspective, this equates to happier, more comfortable, and thus more productive staff. On a domestic basis, imagine no more sleepless nights in those hot summer months, as you sleep in your air conditioned room!
The systems operate by means of two units, one sited in the room where operation is required, and one sited outside the building. Depending on the units purchased, they can supply both cooling, and heating if required.
Cooling
The air conditioning units operate by using a liquid refrigerant, which absorbs any excess heat within a building. As the refrigerant absorbs the heat, is turns into a gas, which is carried to the outdoor unit, and released into the atmosphere. Upon release, this gas turns back into liquid form, and travels back into the indoor unit to start working again.
Heating
To provide the heating functionality of air conditioning the unit will operate with a heat pump, which is able to reverse the cooling process, taking heat from the air outside, and realising it into the building. This happens regardless of the temperature outside, and can reduce the need for a boiler or electric heater, and thus produce savings in terms of energy and cost. For example, an electric heater will generate 1 Kw of heat from 1 Kw of electricity, whereby a heat pump unit can generate approx 3Kw of heat from 1Kw of electricity.

• A 2.6Kw Fujitsu wall mounted heat pump unit, fully supplied and installed - £1200.00 including vat • A 5Kw Fujitsu wall mounted heat pump unit, fully supplied and installed - £1500.00 inc vat • A 7Kw Fujitsu wall mounted heat pump unit, fully supplied and installed – 1950.00 inc vat.
